Making Memories

I've been a good Masters student this weekend and done exactly no work but had a lovely Parisian weekend once again, so much so that it had to be shared. I see a theme going on here, I seem to be always writing about my weekends in Paris on a Sunday evening preparing for the week of work ahead.

Anyway, in the effort to start ticking some more things off my Paris list I got my act together and went over to Canal St Martin in the 19th to have a wander down the canal and try out a cafe that has been on my list for ages.

Le Pavillion des Canaux is right on the edge of the water and on a rainy Saturday morning was a great place to set up shop and pretend I was actually going to get some work done with latte and chocolate chip muffin in hand. I think I was lucky because not long after I arrived the place seemed to fill up with couples, families and brunch go-ers alike. This cafe is a particular find especially because of how gorgeous it actually is - choose from sitting in the glass front and watch the boats go by on the canal or opt to sit inside with cosy armchairs or head upstairs to the reading room - this place has got you covered! Also, it is open until 1am on the weekends so kind of turns into a bar with live music. I'm gutted I haven't been here sooner!

Typically after my walk down the canal, the rain cleared and Paris actually became warm at a balmy 17 degrees all weekend! This bode well for me after last night when we finally made it on a night out for the first time in forever, the warm breeze coming through my big windows today was a lifesaver to make me get out of bed.

And last night, well in the typical old-lady fashion we started early so ended early! After many many tequila shots and dancing down the rues of Bastille, I was tucked up in bed by 1:30 am which is still a win in my book.

Finally, it has actually dawned on me how little time I have left in Paris, and how little time I have left with Harley and Morgan before they leave. 19 days... I think I might cry! How has this year gone so fast already? The weekend after next we have our London trip and then that's it, we're done. It's mad, I feel like I have finally officially got a handle on Paris now, so to leave it is gonna be heartbreaking!
Operation make the most of Paris really has to get underway now.

Have a good week my loves!

Lots of Love, Kate xxx
